day 6 and 7...las vegas

hey family and friends as i begin to write this, i can hear a news report that tornadoes just hit tulsa, okla...thank God we missed them or rather they missed us. Leaving Santa fe and driving out of new mexico, arizona and finally nevada, we listened  to the radio stations to get a feel for the culture. it is a very religious, republican part of the US with 'positive alternative' music, sermons and talk radio of the negative mission of planned parenthood. still stitching and occasionally relieving normie from driving. he is putting many, many hours of driving. it was a scenic drive with gas and food services only offered every 50 to 60 miles. a bit nerve wracking if God forbid there would be an emergency. elk, deer  and wind warning signs were posted all along our  route with a heavy presence of state police in texas and arizona. on our drives we eat to live, for breakfast and lunch, and we live to eat for dinner and enjoy a less healthy and less thrifty meal...so we enjoyed a very cheesy meal at the MGM grand while we waited to see 'ka' an incredible production of cirque de soleil last nigh. got lots of drama ideas...not that i could ever execute them.
we managed to get a room at the trump hotel for a very reasonable price. i think it's because it's away from the strip. and las vegas is not very walkable. you can't cross streets. you must climb stairs into a hotel/shops to go to the bridge to climb over the street and walk into another hotel/shops before reaching the other side...smart marketing.
we ended our day of walking the strip with a delicious all-u-can-eat sushi dinner at sushi mon in the city of las vegas away from the tourist areas.

FOUR DAYS until we meet our littlest girl!!! off for a long drive to california tomorrow morning....where will we get too? stay tuned....love u guys and hope you are all doing well. (still good hair weather my curly haired friends)
